Adding Elegance to a Renovation.
The B & R Club goes back to 1924. As part of the renovation of their downtown Toronto facility, Dekker built a new staircase for the Club.
We built a large, formal, traditional staircase that was appropriate for a private Club and engineered and built for commercial use. Sadly, this staircase that you see in these photos was lost in an untimely and tragic fire.

When the owner of this custom home came to us, he had a vision for a scissor stair with open treads, to be housed in a glass-walled vestibule.
By collaborating with the builder we were able to match the wood trim of the windows to build a unique staircase using metal, wood and glass.
The result is a stunning staircase, that is a visual feature of the house, visible to passersby.
